Red Rooster Grill

Leonel has always had a passion for cooking. He began working in restaurants while he was still in school.

Leonel started out as a prep cook and worked his way up. After helping the cook in a small restaurant in Guadalajara, Mexico at 12 years old, his passion for cooking was ignited. Later he moved to Seattle and worked in a variety of restaurants, then later to Omak where he & his wife opened their first restaurant, “Leonel’s”, where they owned and operated it for a few years. Leonel left the restaurant industry, working in Social Services for many years but did Restaurant Consulting on the side. While working as a Restaurant Consultant he met his business partner Mario. Mario has worked for many years as a waiter providing excellent customer service to his customers. Later on, Mario approached Leonel about a business opportunity with him…as a result we now have the Red Rooster Grill.

Their philosophy of making their customers feel at home comes through in their desire to treat them as family. It is their honor to serve you. They have a sign in the restaurant dining room that pretty much says it all…” Together is the best place to be.”

Leonel’s love for food is also evident at home where a passion for food is a family affair…often cooking with his wife & son who are also involved in the restaurant…his young daughter is also coming up in the family business.

Family means a lot to Leonel and Mario. When they are not working hard at the restaurant they spend as much time as they can with their families. From sharing a meal with their family, playing with their kids or enjoying the outdoors, time with family is always appreciated and usually full of laughter.

A favorite quote, “Do what you love and you’ll never work another day in your life”, is apparent in every aspect of their business and life.
